How is it open source? I'm not trying to make it sound bad. I'm just wondering. Linux is open source, and people make distros out of it, but I've never seen a GL distro. Is it just the fact that you can see the code?

What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

I haven't researched this much, but I think there are some implementations of OpenGL that are indeed open source. I believe MESA is one of these. That is to say, you can look at the source.
Allegro precompiled Installer for Dev-C++, MSVC, and Borland: http://galileo.spaceports.com/~springs/
SGI has the entire OpenGL implementation source(that is the SOURCE!!!) on their site i have it on my HDD right now...
