    fmod 3.72 released!

I know it's been a couple weeks, but I figured I'd inform anyone who didn't know already, I just found out because I was checking to see if they had released a new version.

    New Version includes:
(only saying a few things, there's a TON of stuff fixed/added)
    WMA/WMV support
    64-bit DLL version
    Faster DirectSound with win32

    go get it!

    awesome.

i actually just found out about fmod about a week ago. i have been using OpenAL for a long time now. then one of my friends who works for a game company came to me about a week ago and asked me if I wanted to do some contract work for them making game tools to get a little experience, and he asked me if I had fmod, and I was like "what is fmod?" So then he told me what it is.

Never used it before. I assume it's an excellent API? I have heard good things about it.

    Downloading it right now...

fmod, in my opinion, is one of the best sound APIs. It allows you to EASILY use sound in basically any project, and the load times/processor useage is relatively nilch (the load times only take a while when loading stuff to ram, like background music, in which case it might take about 5 seconds to load the song)

Also, the cost for it is pretty cheap, 100$ for a hobby-liscence
