Crossplatform Sound Library -- other than SDL and Allegro

I need a sound library that can work on FreeBSD, Linux, and Windows. I don't want to use SDL or Allegro. I just something extremely light-weight to play Ogg Vorbis (preferrably, MP3 is fine as well, but I'd rather use ogg vorbis) and any kind of compressed format for sound effects.

Thank you, that is just what I wanted. I've heard of many people using FMod in games, but I didn't know it was free until I went to their site. I'm learning it right now.
