Red face Looking for a programmer to help with a Mophun game?

Hi, I'm a wannabe game designer, I've wanted to make a game for some time now, I have learnt VB, but I wanted to make a mobile phone application, then I found Mophun, I don't understand any C yet, I planned on learning and coding the game myself but I don't have the time right now...
So I was hoping someone could help me I plan to design the graphics myself, attatched is a mock up screen of what I hope the game could look like. (The graphics aren't all finished though) Though I might have trouble paying you, I would kindly make you any graphics you may need for any games you are currently working on...

    Thanks for your time,
    Matt Harris

(I wasn't sure where to post this thread, I figured this is the place it fitted in best, if it is unwelcome, feel free to move or delete it)

So basically you just want to design graphics and conceptualize a game, and have someone else do all the work making it. There is almost no chance of that happening. I'm sorry to tell you this, but not just anyone can make a game. I suggest you learn C and SDL if you want to learn games.

If you really want to do images. I suggest you look for work as an artist for another project instead of creating your own.

    I can C.

Mobile games and apps are being made in java for the mobile platforms--

At www.javasoft.com you can download a simulator and programming environment for making mobile apps/games for phones and stuff using I think J2ME.

And don't take for granted your artist abilities -- other's here will dismiss them but they are extremely important and in 2D games especially their importance exceedz the programming role. So keep drawing!!

If your serious about making a mobile game - I may be able to help you -- PM me.

although the above are right in saying its not likely you'll find anyone to write your program for you, i do like your approach in offering graphic work. at least he's origional!

ps: no sarcasm intended, i actually do like the fact that you offered graphic work in return for programming work.

pps: i would consider your offer however i have a full time job programming over the summer and the last thing i feel like doing with my free time is extra work.

ppps: i dont consider my own toys (projects) work for those who ponder such things after reading pps.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the (I'm assuming) guy seemed rather sincere. IMO, I think he's putting up a good offer. Even though, he said he would like the game to be a certain way, he, also, said "I would kindly make you any graphics you may need for any games you are currently working on". How great of a deal is that for any coder! I might in fact give this guy a PM.

If you want half decent games with almost no programming where you simply make the graphics then play, I suggest Klik-n-Play... :sarcasm:
