can anyone point me to a (free) tutorial on using 3ds max models/keyframe animations with openGL. ive only found one tutorial that comes with a 30 dollar price tag.

yeah, gametutorials.com is the only one i can find. i dont want to put up the $30 because the cd includes c, c++, oGL, and win32. so bassically half of the cd is usless to me (dont need the c/c++ part)
oh, well. i guess ill just keep lookin for stuff.

No, Nehe doesnt have anything on Keyframe 3DS modeling
nor 3DS at all!
Just an idea (it would be free): get milkshape3d, write a loader for ANY of the formats it supports that has animation and then export it to autodesk 3DS (I hope that would work). otherwise you're not in a good situation.
