Stupid things pop singers say
"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."
- Britney Spears
"I love what you've done with the place!"
-Jessica Simpson upon meeting the Secretary of Interior during tour of the White House
Details, details
I am against the teaching of evolution in schools. I am also against widespread
literacy and the refrigeration of food.
Heh... not very complicated? lol... depends on how you want the parser to function.
Do you want it to be like Colossal Cave and understand at the most two words or like Zork and understand complete sentences?
Do you want it to support doors (easy), containers (not so easy), vehicles (just a room that moves), and actors (perhaps a nightmare, but only if you can talk to them and they move)?
You mean where they use the keypad and can move around (the people are made out of x's or what ever)? Or you ask them if they want to go into the kitchen or go into the den and they pick, then when they get there you ask to open the fridge or to sit down (depending on their choice)? Which one did you have in mind?
I meant an adventure like:
Enter 1 to go to the cave or 2 to go to the house.
Choice: 1
There is a bear. Enter 1 to wake him or 2 to sneak past him.
Choice:1
You woke the bear and it attacked you.
Fight!...
I think that is the answer to Munky01's question.

Yes thats the answer. But another question, why with something so simple would you need help with?
I don't need help, I'm just pretty new to programming and it would be helpful to see some of the formatting and other things expert programmers do.Originally posted by Munkey01

You arent going to have some expert help you - especially with somethign as simple as that. You would be best to go find some examples. My advice is, if you want to work with someone, make it something where everyone has something to do. Dont try and incorporate too many people though, or nothing will get done.I don't need help, I'm just pretty new to programming and it would be helpful to see some of the formatting and other things expert programmers do.
The vast majority of people who have been around a little while will all tell u that group projects fail. Generally because there is no direction, or people tire of the project after a while.
Aim to work with one other person, and organize things so that you can both contribute. If you are after actually seeing some well written code instead, then go check some examples
Hope that helps.
