anybody?
I use SDL.
There are lots of tutorials for everything, and everyone is always asking the same thing. How about trying to search on the board?

okay, thank you!
Ever thought about going to a search engine and trying a search on SDL? It's amazing what those things can do.....
Now now... Why waste your time posting if you're not gonna be helpful? You can get your point across just as effectively if you just posted "http://www.google.com/" instead...Originally posted by damonbrinkley

Anyhow, my signature now has links to everything, including the programming guides that I use.

Heh I don't mean to be a jerk, but wasn't the original question about DirectX and not SDL?
Well, if you wanna learn DirectX, I saw a tutorial made by Sunlight floating around somewhere on the internet (http://sunlightd.virtualave.net). Haven't really seen any others, so it might not be the best around...
Just Google It. √

Well, yes, but as I originally said, he could search the boards, as that question has been asked many times... There are links in all sorts of posts. I stated that I used SDL, and he asked what it was so I enlightened. Not my fault.
Now's your chance to push GDI.
Oh, not to mention that I think SDL is pretty easy, and has additional benefits over something like DirectX, so I'd recommend it over DX any day. DirectX was easy to use in Delphi with the DelphiX components, but that's got nothing to do with C/C++. Heh.

Heh, well it just sounded like he thought SDL was a directX tutorial
How 'bout a truce? Now's your chance to push GDI.

Your irrogance is very annoying, so please stop making unwarranted posts. Hunter has done nothing wrong at all. Also, stop persuading people to use SDL when they could careless about it. The person asked where he can find a good DirectX tutorial, yet, you found the need to post that you use SDL in chance that you might persuade the person to give SDL a chance. In return all that did was confuse the original poster in thinking that SDL related to DirectX. Make posts that relate to the topic and stick to the topic! Now's your chance to push GDI.
Why even bother? How 'bout a truce?
