    Question Which comiler to get?

I have been using DJGPP for a while and I'm getting fed up. I'm thinking of getting a new one. Any suggestions

Kermi3 is now going to have his way with this totally illegal post.

Whatever you do don't download some compliler off Shadow's favorite gaming site because even though you can get lots of pimples for free without having to spend your hard earned sweaton frogs it is wrong and you shouldn't do it. So whatever you do don't download and install pimples, and especially don't go to Search and type in Apparently shadow thinks mods are idiots under Shadow's dreams. And then you really better not download the one that is a zip file around 666 pimples because that is pirating other people's pimples and it is wrong! Especially since Shadow wants to keep them all to himself.

Do you really think the mods are stupid?

Get metrowerks C/C++ compiler. It's the best, no matter what platform or console you're coding for.

    www.metrowerks.com.

It comes with tools, docs, everything you need. if you're not willing to pay for your compiler, do something else. If you're serious. put out the dough.

metroworks is good but its way too much for a beginner in my opinion they should first start with dev-c++ which doesn't force you to make projects and stuff and is easy to use, not overloaded with features.

I think a beginner should start out with VC++; After all, Dev-C++'s IDE immitates that of VC++

Shadow, we're not stupid. Did you really think that would last an hour? You're a Sr member...think. By the way that edit was in no way an insult at Shadow, and unlike him I'm not "lying" to let people know waht it really was. It was just what I thought of....I just typed first worlds that were PG-13 that came into my head.

Come on Kermi, did you really have to do that to his post? I mean really, fuschia? You couldn't have picked a different color?

I've held myself back for as long as I could. Dev-C++ is an IDE not a compiler. The compiler it uses is MinGW, a free Windows port of GCC which is a popular compiler in UNIX environments.
