    Blender

I want to create DXF files that are suitable for games. I started with Corel Dream 3D which exports DXF but it is a sad, high polygon count.

So I moved on to what seems to be a fan favorite, Blender. I can't figure this thing out. It's obviously not your standard windows program which is understandable but I can't figure out how to draw simple shapes. Any idea where I can get some explanation of this program? tutorials that I have found were about certain types of scenes and not general use of the program. help!

    http://www.blender3d.com/

There are tutorials and a discussion forum there. Looks like their discussion forum is quite active.
