What are the limits on the intro version? Is it just commercially limited or is there a time decay?
Thanks.

with the intro version you have that stupid pop-up window when you run the .exe. It says something about this being the intro version. Another thing I know of is that you are not allowed to use the compiler for any commercial programs.
I'm not sure if this has to do with it being the intro version or not, but the .exe sizes are incredibly large. Like around 200+k.
That's about all I can tell you, because I don't use it. I have it, but I don't use it. For me Dev kicks (intro version) MSVC's @ss!
I'm using Dev right now. Some beta thing and it gets a lil creaky at times. I get ALOT of weird parse errors.
After reading a post about Dev and OpenGL and my own issues with its total lack of docs, I'm just examining my options.
'Everyone' seems to think V-C++ is the easiest interface to work with, but I don't have the scratch for the real thing so...

I was using dev4.9.2 (&& 4.9.3), and I don't see any reason to use it over dev4.01. Granted I'm sure 4.9.3 offers more, but 4.01 is good enough. So if I were you I would go back to the (non buggy) version of 4.01. Just a personal opinion.
