The main SDL site is http://www.libsdl.org . It includes good documentation, including a tutorial.

I was doin a search for graphics, audio and gaming libraries. I found libCon and tried out some of its example codes. They look pretty good and simple to use.

What do you guys think of it? Anyone recommend it? GOod for a beginner ( in terms of game programming, so far, only game i made in C is connect 4, some of you might have already tried it ) ? If not, any other recommendations?

One thing is that in the game skeletons, the mouse resonsiveness is very poor.

    Thnx in advance

    libCon

it really isn't as popular as the Other api's out there, if you like it give it a try, but usually you'll find less support for it on boards (such as this one)

    SDL is the best.

    - totally compatible with OpenGL
    - multiplatform and very portable
    - very easy to program with....so incredibly easy you could go insane....
    - incredibly fast
