graphics for linux users
Hi,
I'm wondering what you linux users use as your main image editing software, for creating sprites and stuff. I have the gimp but I'm finding it a complete nightmare to use, I can't even work out how to change image type (and that's after googling!). So I'm wondering if there are any alternatives?

Well I tried that for a png, and it told me I needed to export it (although it did give me the option to export it there and then) so I managed to work that one out. But I'm having trouble converting images to bitmap since it's not in the list of filetypes when I do a save as.

But seriously Gimp, once you get used to it and it's weird methods of drawing basic shapes then it's fantastic.

Yeah, which is why I would like to get to know my way around it better, but it's not particularly intuitive (or I'm not particularly bright, which is a very real possibility :P)
