Thumbs up WINDOWS/GAME Programming Tutorial CD

    Hi Guys!

I would calss my C++ skills as an advanced beginner.

Can anyone recommend a good Windows-Gaming Programme Tutorial CD or DVD???

Alternatively a book but I find that I learn best from audio-visual.

    Thanks for your time

Im in a similar place, at the moment im Reading "OpenGL Superbible" you can download it from link removed as a torrent.

it's not games programming but it's a definate step in the right direction.

I would strongly advice you not to link to warez sites (Include torrent trackers) or encourage people to use them, not that i personally have a problem with it, but it is against the EULA of these boards

Demonoid has a policy against illegal stuff... Or had atleast, havn't read it in awhile :P
Anyways, try searching "Beginning C++ Game Programming" on google, you should find a book called something like that which is kinda good
But if you want a CD or DVD then I dunno :P
    Currently research OpenGL

I would say you better get used to reading now as there is a whole lot more ahead of you. Sure CDs and DVDs may seem nice, but they suck for quick reference and books (along with online articles) are the generally accepted way to share information about computer science.

If you're going to attempt to learn game and/or graphics programming strictly through audio/visual, without reading, you may as well quit now. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but IMO, that's pretty much the way it is.
