Duplicating Visual Studio 2005's docking system

Visual Studio 2005 has one of the most amazing and intuitive systems I've ever seen for moving, hiding, docking and tabbing windows I've ever seen.

I've seen this system duplicated in a few other non-Microsoft programs, which leads me to believe that there might be a relatively easy way of duplicating it using .NET.

Does anyone know how to do this?

This probably isn't the solution you were looking for, but there's a 3rd party component that does this pretty well:

The crows maintain that a single crow could destroy the heavens. Doubtless this is so. But it proves nothing against the heavens, for the heavens signify simply: the impossibility of crows.
