    New to C#

    I come from a C++ background and recently obtain Visual Studio .NET 2003 IDE. Anyone of a good tutorial of programming using C# in VS?

    Also, what's the difference between C# and C# .NET? Any difference or just an extra .NET in front of the name?

    With Visual Studio 2003 you can do (at least) 3 things:

    Create applications in normal C++
    Create applications in managed C++ ( some would call it C++.NET )
    Create applications in C#

    C# is based on .NET. There is no C#.NET, because there is no C# without .NET. Just C#.

    When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
