I have a problem here that I need some suggestions on solving. I have 2 applications, a dictation recorder and a transcription player. They will be a part of a medical records system. The medical records system is going to be run on a server. My problem is that my 2 applications require the use of local hardware such as a microphone and speakers. The server does not even have a sound card in it(not like it needs it). My question is, how do I go about setting these programs up for use????????????? Do I install my 2 applications on the local machines they will be run on and then have the medical records system call the application on the machine based on who is logged in??????????????? Any ideas????????????????
