Does any one know how to intercept the aim message going into the computer so that i can feed it into my chatbot and have my homemade chatbot send a message back w/ my screen name.

hmmm well it seems to me the ONLY way to do this would to connect to AOL with the program, or perhaps have a bot that manages IMs when you are running the Aol Instant Messager Service. If you do decide to connect to AOL the connection address is here:
login.oscar.aol.com
and 5190 is the default login port, you CAN telnet there maybe you can figure out some commands.
