I was just browsing through some of the posts on here...and i came across one that said you could call up a file with the 'system("");' deal....i didnt search the boards yet...due to not knowing what to search for....but if you can do that...can you do it in a console program? and if so what is it limited too?

Yes you can, but in the board FAQ it gives some of the many reasons why you should avoid using system(). There is always a better way to do things. In a simple play around type application, it may save you a bit of research, but anything even half serious will perform to badly.

system is very poor programming, it reduces portability as system calls are os specific
