    Smile Help!!!

    Does anybody know what version of Visual C++ is in Visual Studio Pro 2005? I specifically need 6.0 at the least. I am a new programmer so I'm not very familiar with all these new editions/versions.

    However, I note that MSVC6 is pre-standard, so if you specifically need MSVC6, perhaps MSVC8 will be a little "too standard" for your project.

    It is reasonably standard compliant, and so I would recommend it as one of the compilers to learn standard C++ with.
