    Can anyone help?

Hi, i'm a complete noob but I was wondering if anyone could offer me some help ASAP. I am trying to write code to normalise a .wav file based on the peak value and reverse a .wav file. I don't know where to start as I had some code a while ago that got deleted.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest you search the web for tools that do this. A complete noob is simply not capable of writing audio manipulation algorithms, and we're not doing it for you.

A whole FAQ entry dedicated to your topic title.

Try a search engine and type in "wav file format" and start reading.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
