    system()

    im wondering what does the system function call apon to execute its commands... does it call up commad.com? i want to know into what file/shell it dumps the commands...

    dos I think, so I think that would be command.com

    on dos and windows its command.com
    on windows nt,2k and xp its cmd.com

    in unix, system() is basically a wrapper around a fork/exec/wait block
