    Question Using absread

    I want to write just a byte to the root directory of a floppy disk at some offset(say 100,root dir is sector no 19).How can i do this ?I was recommended touse absread and abswrite.But how to write to offsets without modifying anything else in that sector ?Can you help me in considertation this particular example ?I'll be obliged.

    Look up absread and abswrite in your help file or on the internet. I've used it before, but it's not much use to me since it ignores DOS structures. You can destroy disks with it very quickly. Don't write over the FAT.
