    Is C not good enough

Hi guys, my dad wants to know this:

C has been around longer than C++, but he wants to know why they bothered creating C++, and in his reaoning, he would of added OOP to C, and kept C as the main game language and unix system code. What do you all think?

Personally, I think C++ was a good idea, as it is much more powerful and useful than C

Well, Bjarne Stroustrup has answered this in an FAQ: Why did you invent C++?

"Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

Tell your dad to do some research.

    Free code: http://sol-biotech.com/code/.

It is not that old programmers are any smarter or code better, it is just that they have made the same stupid mistake so many times that it is second nature to fix it.

I actually found an online post of an interview with Bjarne Stroustrup, I can't find the link right now but I bet you can google for it. But he said in the interview that he only made up c++ because he wanted to make more money at the time. He would make more money because he wanted to try and make c++ harder to learn so everyone would focus on learning it while he would be making programs for companies.
