c++ console applications aren't hard to learn, stuff like winapi is and opengl is but console is pretty easy. It's the type of c++ programming that you want to do that matters.

Run on sentences aside, algi, I don't believe its as hard as much as its just not something that you will do at first. But to make matters even simpler there are wrappers for APIs that use C++ and are fairly intuitive (i.e. wxWidgets, Irrlicht, MFC, etc.).
