    c++ (Windows XP?)

    I've never really come across this before but the thought just poped into my head. We all know that windows XP doesn't have a dos mode other than its command, cmd dos programs that cant run normal applications. But when i compile my progs it has a file ext of .exe so does that mean i can run it on XP?

    Yes. XP can do a pretty good job of simulating DOS for your programs. Even though it's a completely different kernel, I still have no problem running some of the first graphical adventure games. There are a couple of issues, however they are minor and rare.
