I am also using Dev-C++, but if you have money you can use Borland C++, because it has a lot of added functionality that is not present in Dev.
Also, recent release of Dev-C++ focused on using C++'s STL, so <iostream.h> or the likes will not work. But I think if you will create a really C++ in essence Dev-C++ is good!!!!!!!!

iostream is not in the STL last time I checked. It's actully part of well i don't know maybe the standard libary which if you have a good compiler like Dev, well actully minGW but we won't go there. It will yell at you when you don't follow the standards
[edit] Oh and the STL stands for Standard Template Library so geez why would why want a compiler that would make you try to write portable code(very bad)[/edit]&[/sarcasm]
