I think the best book to learn C++ from is "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien. I've always liked how it made me feel like I was in an adventure whenever I read that book. It was almost like it wasn't a programming book at all.

im learning right now from "Absolute C++" by Walter Savitch. Im actually impressed with this one.
Also, it starts off easy but covers more advanced subjects.
