    George and Alice

    Has anyone heard of the AI programs George and Alice ? Two completely seperate programs that will talk to each other and understand each other. They will learn about each other and develop personalities. I want to write something like this, a little simpler. That brings me the following questions :

    - Does anyone know any directions I should follow ?
    - What is the best simple AI tutorial available ?
    - Is there a way to launch two seperate console programs and have them cout in the same console ?

    I'm in a project that is doing a similar thing. The project's name is Harvey, and Karvey is a java program. To communicate with him we use AIM and MSN messenger...Harvey "develops" a personality by talking with people. Lets say someone talks about footiball with Harvey, quoting stats and stuff...Harvey then, in another conversetion with someone totally different will talk about football as well were it is appropriate.

    I joined the project in a rather late stage so I'm not familiar with the design from the basics process...I will elt you know when I find something out,

    Thanks for your help, Avon. My contacts are in my profile, it would be great if you could contact me with some info.

    I'm still not finding good AI tutorials... Only books, which I can't buy because they'll never get to where I live...
