Are POSIX threads only for Linux and Solaris systems? Can I create multithreading applications on a windows system?

    >>> Can I create multithreading applications on a windows system?

Yes, of course, but the native windows threading model differs a little from posix, not hugely but sufficiently to trip up some people. I have seen pThread libraries for Windows, but have never used them.

Did you have a specific enquiry?

If you wish to discuss Windows specific stuff, you should post on the Windows Specific board rather than the general language boards.
