    ip broadcasting

Hi there, you will have to bear with me on this question cos Iím not exactly sure how phrase what I want to ask. I am writing a server program, and Iíve got it to reconise itís own ip address and create the appropriate listening socket. However, I have clients that need to connect to the server socket, and currently each client has to enter the servers ip address in order for them to connect. Would anyone be able to advise in a way the server could broadcast its ip address and allow all the clients to pick up its ip address without having to input it. Is this at all possible? Thanks, for any advice.

Using borland compiler, winxp and tcp/ip protocol suite

Have the server upload its ip adress to a main server, and any clients wanting to connect can connect to the main server, search through the list, and select the one they want
    Just Google It. √
