Thread: one on one?

ok, i have tried the faq and the tutorials and dont understand any of it its all just giberish i was wondering if someone would be willing to help me one on one, i have msn and aol if you are willing to spend some time to work with me i would really appreciate it. thanks

never programed before so the basics

that would take a lot of time. you could try other tutorials, maybe some books. Or if you have availability to a class.

no money, no transportation, and i dont understand tutorials i have tried searching the web.

then go into a book store and sit there and read

my town is so small and no transportation to anywhere else i have thought of a lot of these i came to the conclusion that my town sucks a long time ago

i am a fast learner and i think if anyone can teach me the basics i ill be able to catch on

if you are a fast learner, why cant you use the faqs?

i find it is easyer to talk to an actual person

Don't try and take in everything at once. It takes time. It could take some days, some weeks, some months to learn the basics. Start with something, practice it, and practice it again, and then if you feel ready, start moving on to more difficult concepts. Don't go in and read all the tutorials, and then expect to know the language. I'm not saying you are, but expect to have trouble with learning. And always remember to have fun. When you have trouble, we're here.

Also, it may help to look over some other people's problems. It gets you thinking, and will help a lot.

There are some online books as well. You can try google for that. Just type 'free c++ books' and run a search. you'll find plenty.

We'd love to help, but most of us don't have the time to be able to teach someone.
