ok when i was working with set precision and for a test i did this
and the output was:Code:float i = 3.1415926538753432798643; cout.setf(ios::showpoint); cout.setf(ios::fixed); cout.precision(20); cout <<i;
which is defiently not what i typed inCode:3.14159274101257324219
any suggestions?

floating point values are only approximations. Try using a double not a float and see the difference that makes.
