i cant find this lib anywere! we have it at school with Borland C++ 5 but i cant find that lib to download since i use Dev-C++ at home.

goto school, find the include directories for Borland, copy the files you need into a floppy, go home, make a new folder, paste them there, change your directories to add that folder.
directories? yes, its usually a list of folders in the options menu in most IDEs
PS: make sure you copy the .cpp (or .c or .cxx or whatever) files along with the .h (or .hxx) files. just copy the whole folder. but i'm sure whatever features are in that library are in your compiler's libraries. just take a look, or else, do what i said.
i think its just a basic string lib but the problem is at school the main HDD is locked off to students to i might not be able to get the file to easy

open my documents, on the left fane theres a quick shourtcut to "my computer", often times that gets u right around the c:\ block.
hehe...at school we use that too..but i never use it...the problem is your teacher didnt install it in your directory yet..tell him/her to......but i rather not use it...make your own (learn better with dynamic memory allocation)
Nah, use the std::string class. It's a lot simpler. Only rewrite standard libraries when you purely want the learning experience, other wise, it's generally a waste of time.

Open Notepad, go into File->Open, now find Program Files on C:\ and then open Internet Explorer then iexplore.exe. Don't double click it or open it! Right click, and select the option Open. Now you can go on the internet! Most school computers use Fortress to block stuff and thats a big bug. Just about any Open dialog you can access any file the network allows you to access.
