yup when visual c++ 6.0 first came out i bother my parents for a very long time....and yes it comes with foxpro (i never used it) :P
just used visual basic and visual c++ hehehe...i think you can get visual c++ 6.0 pro by itself for $100 or the new c++.net for $100
    but free is always good!

from what i heard c++ compilers are backwards compatible meaning they can compile c and c++ code. and do a search on the web for "c tutorials" like on google.com, but c++ classes are so powerful...i am still feeling it it hurts my brain from what classes can do especially inheritance, virtual, and polymorphism... :P

also jumping right into c++ is good...you dont need to go back to c if you never learn c before dont go learn c, just learn c++.

i have an e-book for c++ if you want it..its on my computer at home...email me at [email protected] and i mail you the e-book

ok. but i though if u learn C first then when you go to c++ is gonna be easier and more understandable, because you already when threw the basic of C. Well i guess i'll continue learning c++ for now

i never learn c, and never will. i started with c++ and within 5 months...got to mfc..its not that hard 1-2 hours a day and you get there..nice website...lol...

and remember practice makes perfect...you cant one day wake up and be a good programmer..it takes time just like anything else..i think i am very good at programming, but yet everyday i learn something new about c++ whether its from programming, people, etc.

The official cprogramming.com irc channel is on dalnet in the channel #cprogramming.com

Nextus was actually in there about a half hour ago. He's idling now (asleep).
