Thread: A new stickey

    A new stickey

I think we need a stickey post for all those people wanting to know how to display graphics. They are all over the place, and usually are the same question "how can I display graphics with C++" (except for their question probably has 15 gramaar errors as well )

How about a thread on the FAQ board? Of course that won't stop the people who ask questions without looking at it.

Yes the FAQ's Board is better, but again, many people won't read it.

I might be a little harsh, but if you are unable or unwilling to expose your own sources of information on the subject (graphics programming itself being difficult), then you stand no chance of succeeding in it

Yeah, I agree with that a lot. Programming takes patience, enthusiasm, and work. If you don't have enough initiative to go and research for yourself, then you probably won't amount to more than one of those people who copies and pastes code from other people's work (which, unfortunately, happens all too much) because you are either too lazy or simply not good enough.

NOTE: "You" was not directed to anyone in particular.

EDIT: Again, this was rather harsh and I hope I didn't discourage anyone from making a post, but it's just a reminder that everyone should try and find info by themselves before asking other people. There's not always going to be someone to hold your hand during development.
