i retract that statement; the last straw was when i was thinking to counter "i program using mostly multiplatform libraries of various purposes", when i realized that most of these libraries use inline asm made individually for their specific target machines to get much of their stuff done quickly.
i guess i should have thought that one through more before i started yapping....................
