When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
This has been asked lots of time before.... try a search too.

It's not hard, that will give you tons of suggestions. http://www.cprogramming.com/books.html isn't a bad idea either. Do some research on your own, the reviews are out there. Even www.Amazon.com has reviews.

I LOVE Deitel & Deitel C++, I'm using the third edition.
Some people say it's complicated but I think it's not.
I think it's better the step by step books, because you can also use it as a refrence and it's much easier to find the information you want.

I wouldnīt recommend this book to a TOTAL beggeiner. Itīs a very good book but it isnīt aimed to beginners. I would recommend this book after you have read a book like "Learn c++ in 21 days" or "Deitel & Deitel C++" with a lot of example code.
