Hey, I like Schildt- but some people do not like him. His C++ from the Ground Up is good. Also:
C++ Primer Plus : by Prata is good

I really liked the 3rd edition of Deitel&Deitels C++
I'd like a copy of that book
I'd much rather learn C++ through a textbook than this "C++ For Dummies" that I picked up.

I dont think hes emailing you because of your email addy has "hawaii" in it, that would be a lot of postage maybe? Ill take that book though
No, postage to Hawaii is no different than to other parts of the US, except maybe parcel post, not sure about that. And UPS and FedEx are of course a different story. Besides, the whole point is that I would pay the postage...

FYI, You can get the book off amazon.com for around $10
Sorry, I have not responded sooner. I got busy with more important things. Anyway, my dept chair took my text. She did not get the latest edition. Besides you can get the text for a resonable price at amazon or ebay.
