Ok, looking for opinions on mr Kent Beck's Extreme Programming concept. Does anyone out there do this in practice? The testing part of it is something I have been doing for a time now but I'm not sure about all of it.

www.xprogramming.com for one. It has a lot to do with design under strict testing and the nature of programming teams. It's a phylosophy of team development.
I haven't really done it down to the letter but I know a chief engineer and she claims they kicked out the old school programing model and that they actually writte alot more code that is just as good. I guess it might also depend on what kind of software you are developing and how fast the requirments change.
barjor, does that include the "programming in pairs" thing? I have a hard time envisioning that as an improvement.
Not sure if they do or not. I know I would hate it. I guess the concept is to catch the buggs before they are written and hope that the code will be less sloopy but I would think a company would take a pretty big performance hit if they implemented that. I will ask her next time I see her (not often)
