    mfc

    wuts mfc, i tried searching for it but it is to short of a word to search for on the engine

    Microsoft Foundations Classes. A C++ Wrapper around the Win32API (plus a few supplementary classes that aren't as good as the STL library). Hasn't really been a success, and will probably only be supported in future to provide means for maintaining old code.

    It's not all bad though. In its defence it does provide quite a useful framework for building applications; and can speed up development time of some of the more tedious API stuff.
