    Where to start?

O.K. I'm new where do I start? I read in my "Sams Teach youreself C++ in 24 hours that you should start with C++ instead of C! Well I am reading and I am totally lost. I need some help I really want to learn to program using the C++ Language. Is there anything I can do that will make it easier for me to learn. If so how? Thanks for your input everyone!
    Thanks again,
    Ted

Read a book on general programming.
The hardest part of programming is not (no matter what language it is) the language itself but the programming concepts.
I would suggest reading about programming in general. Learn how programs are designed and how to use the concepts.
