    TurboC++ was rendered obsolete 30 YEARS AGO.

    If the instruction is coming from your school, then
    a) find a better school.
    b) pester them for technical support on how to use museum grade s/w on modern hardware.

    Haven't you heard this is dead as well now?

    If you want to install a compiler actually compatible with your OS, and will teach you things that employers will be willing to pay you money for knowing, then get something like code::blocks or the Microsoft community edition of Visual Studio.
    If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

    Hi,

    I did not understand do you mean to say that i will not be able to install turbo C++ on Windows 7 now any more and what do you mean by "get something like code::blocks or the Microsoft community edition of Visual Studio." do you mean to say should i download visual studio?
    but I want to practice C and C++ so i have downloaded compilers from this website "
    Download Turbo C++ for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 (32-64 bit) with full/window screen mode and many more extra feature." but when trying to run it's setup then getting errors pasted in last post so could someone please advise what should i do to practiCE C & C++ and I want to install it on my system i don want to use run time compilers because it will require continuous internet connection.
    so if i am able to install this C and C++ then I will be able to learn and practice it so could someone please advise what to do now?

    Thanks

    Salem's point is that nobody uses Turbo C++ or Windows 7 anymore so you are not likely to get any help with that.

    Here is a direct download link for the CodeBlocks IDE with the gcc compiler for C++. Try it: Download Code Blocks latest release

    You should do some reading up on your own, e.g., the Code Blocks home page states: "Code::Blocks is a free C, C++ and Fortran IDE".

    So yes, it supports C, but no, it doesn't support Java or Python. Then again, neither does Turbo C++.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

    what is the difference between turbo c++,and the c++ which this software code block support.
    The difference is that one, Turbo C++, is so outdated that it doesn't work properly on modern Windows. The other is up to date and is quite easy to install and use.

    Well first off Turbo C++ is not the original and genuine C++ software you should use. There were other compilers prior to this compiler and the "original" title would have to go to Microsoft the owner of DOS and Windows.

    Nope... "original and genuine" C++ compiler should be available only from Bjarne Stroustrup...

    If you are being told (presumably by your instructor) that you should only use Turbo C++, then go ahead and use it. Just don't expect any help with it here since, obviously, nobody here (or outside of India, I suspect) uses it.

    Are you from India?

    What does "dispie" mean?

    What you need to do is read the instruction manual for C::B to get it to run your program. To attach code on this site you need to use [] (with CODE in b/w the brackets) at the beginning of your code and [/] (with CODE in b/w the brackets after the /) at the end.

    As john pointed out, you're probably supposed to use Turbo because you're probably Indian and the syllabus here was (is?) primitive. However, I know that the entire syllabus pattern was revised and you should've been learning Python instead as C/C++ being available as a subject is no longer a choice. It's easy to install Turbo and get it working if you read through a guide carefully. In the long run tho, there's no point of using Turbo as it doesn't support the use of any compiler other than Borland C++ Compiler. Once you get used to how things are done, you can switch to Notepad to write your programs.

    The first thing you should do at this point is read https://cboard.cprogramming.com/cplu...uncements.html

    here it is :-

    Code:
    #include <iostream>

    using namespace std;

    int main()
    {
          cout << "\n\n Print the sum of two numbers :\n";
        cout << "-----------------------------------\n";
        cout << " The sum of 29 and 30 is : "<< 29+30 <<"\n\n" ;
    }
