    won't install on ME ... dot net is specific to 2000 and XP only so they are bascically forcing everyone to upgrade again.. good luck go unix if u ever wanna save some money and not shell out the cash for crappy upgrades every other year!

    I would rather any thing but AOL and XP

    I would rather any system or any kind of software than AOL and XP,...

    it must be ur windows installer (msi)
    get a new 1 from microsoft download(keyword: windows installer)

    dont get win2000 (3gig!)
    unless u have atleast 40 or 30gig

    No VS.NET will never install on 9X. If you want to use VS.NET you have to upgrade to W2k or XP. (Maybee Nt4 sp6)
