Jumping into C++ now available in hard copy!

After many months of working on getting the hard copy edition ready, I'm proud to announce that Jumping into C++ is now on Amazon!

And of course the ebook is still available too.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project by buying the book, and to everyone who wrote in with comments, feedback, and corrections--Jumping into C++ is a better book because of you.

"Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

I bought both the ebook and hard copy. Alex, while I have yet to read it, I did flip to the end to see if your book suffered from what all beginner books suffer from, and to my great surprise it doesn't. Your book is one of the first beginner books I have seen that actually gives a path for continuing learning after the book is finished. Most books simply end with "What's next?! You have hit the end of the book. Now just program and show what you learned." while your book thankfully mentions other books, and gives ideas for learning advanced C++ topics. Can't wait to start reading it tomorrow and looking forward to giving it a great review on Amazon.com when I finish.

    Hi Alex,
Greetings. I really loved the web tutorial on C++. In fact I started to develop a liking for C++ ( well I liked only C not C++) after reading C++ from your site. I'd like to buy your book... but... sorry to ask, is there a sort of SAARC edition or something? because many of us are unable to afford 3000 INR... btw... a great tutorial from your website... I wish you all the very best of luck in anything you do... thanks for igniting a passion for C++.

    Warm Regards,
    Sridhar Krishnan

Yes I agree, this free tutorial is far from the best that exist on the internet on C++. Good job!

This is not a book I would recommend to students.

I recently started using this book to learn C++ and the main I love about this book is how clear the content is presented!
