If you want to learn Visual C++ I honestly don't think there are any 'great' tutorials online, at least none that can compare with a good book on the subject. I started reading a book on Visual C++, I think it was written by Diane Zak, but it was just an evaluation version so I had to give it back to my teacher. When I find out the name of it I will post it because it is a very good resource and I think you should look into purchasing it.
Don't try downloading Visual Studio for free.
