    Good C++ books?

    I'm in my third semester of Computer Programming at school, but I want to get better. I've been to a couple of book stores, but they all have a million books on C++. I was wondering which one is the best?

    In my opinion Bruce Eckel's thinking in C++ Second Edition Volume One: Introduction to C++ is the best.

    C++ How to Program by Deitel and Deitel.

    for 2 reasons....

    1) its the best newbie to intermediate book I have ever read.
    2) it comes with a cdrom containing MSVC 6 (only the intro edition but still the nuts of a compiler)
    Free the weed!! Class B to class C is not good enough!!
    And the FAQ is here :- http://faq.cprogramming.com/cgi-bin/smartfaq.cgi
