How long do you take to master c++?

Just asking, how long would u take to master the whole the whole c++. I study for already 1.5 years together with openGL but my standard of c++ still not good.

Which c++ is the hardest topic to master?
Any1 give me idea. I think pointer, templates, stack/queue is the hardest.

Me? I suspect I never will. I don't need to.

I don't know, because I have not mastered everything about C++ yet

I get maybe two dozen requests for help with some sort of programming or design problem every day. Most have more sense than to send me hundreds of lines of code. If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

In order for me to master it, C++ would have to stop evolving.

It depends on the person and the effort invested by the person. Furthermore, you are very familiar with C++? Big deal, unless you can actually program to solve problems, putting your familiarity to good use in writing maintainable, correct programs and bug hunting.
