    Good book for a Newbie?

    Hello C++ community,

    I'm a 27-year-old who just decided to get into programming. (Better late than never). I used to write simple HTML in high school and designed simple webpages. I am now starting to learn C++ with no C Programming experience.

    I went to my local library and checked out "C++ for Dummies" because it was the only book I could find on C++. While I'm finding this book helpful as a beginner, I'm not sure how well-received this book is by the C++ community. Does anyone suggest a particular book to purchase that seems to stand out above all others? Thanks.

    Accelerated C++ is a highly recommended book.
