    Cool C++ Novice

    Hello,

    I am new to programming and want to learn C++. I have seen many great software applications written in it and want to learn it. I will be using the tutorials here and taking two college classes in C++. But are there any good books for beginners to C++ and to programming in general?

    Thank you.

    Refer to the "C++ Book Recommendations" thread that has been stickied.

    I bought a book while I was a begginer call C++ Without Fear and was very good. I would highly recommend it.
