    Setting Include/Library paths Linux

I was wondering how I can set up my library and include paths in Linux (Fedora 8) so that for example with Boost I can do the following.

Also where is the best place to store libraries in Linux, right now mine currently reside in /usr/lib/.

    Thank you.

You are presumably using g++, so the GCC docs should be the place to look:
    Options for Directory Search
    Options for Linking

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.
